Thank you for your prayers for my safe travels. The plane did not explode and I am now having a wonderful time visiting my home country, my friends, but most especially my family. I am having a lot of fun recalling the past and laughing with my siblings as we reminisce the good times we had growing up together. Spending some time with my family once again led me to realize how beautiful it is to have one.
My family is far from being perfect but I am grateful for the blessing of being a part of it. With all its weaknesses and imperfections, living with my family led me to the life that I am now living as a priest of God. I will forever be grateful.
I hope that during this summer, you also will have an opportunity to spend some time with your family – and by that, I mean may you be brought to appreciate once again the beauty of the family God has blessed you with. Our families may not be perfect but God is and will always be with us if we continue to open our hearts to Him.
I am looking forward for my trip back to my parish family here in Ashland. But for now, please continue to pray for my safe travels. See you all again soon and God bless you.
In Christ, Fr. Maro
