“The thing the church needs most today is the ability to heal wounds and warm the hearts of the faithful.” – Pope Francis
Been away from the Church for a while? Has the example of Pope Francis inspired you to take another look at Catholicism? Has some other event in your life inspired you to look again at the Catholic Church?
We invite you to reconnect to the faith at Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church!
“I’ve been away from the Church for a long time.”
It doesn’t matter how long you have been away. Our Lady of the Mountain invites you to take part in our common journey of faith.
“I don’t remember very much about Catholicism.”
No worries. We invite you to talk with our pastor or our deacon about any questions you may have regarding the faith.
“I don’t think I ever knew all that I was supposed to know about the faith.”
Even the most learned Catholic among us does not know everything. In the interest of learning more about the faith, Our Lady of the Mountain offers Adult Faith Formation classes designed to help all of us grow in our faith. Anyone with a desire to learn more about her/his faith is welcome. Contact the Parish Office for information
Divorce alone does not exclude anyone from the sacraments. Catholics who are divorced may participate fully in the life of the parish community.
“I’m divorced and remarried.”
If this is your situation, we urge you to speak with a priest to learn what is necessary to return to the sacraments and become active in the Church again.
“My previous experience with the Church was a hurtful one.”
The Church, like any other human institution, is made up of imperfect people. If a member of the Church or a Church leader has hurt you in any way, we seek your forgiveness. We hope that you can find healing and the power to forgive through the compassionate support of our parish community and the healing power of the sacraments.
- Consider taking time to pray in private in a sacred setting. Our Lady of the Mountain has a small adoration chapel located behind the church, where one can pray privately in surroundings that inspire quiet contemplation. Call the Parish office (541-482-1146) to obtain the access code.
- Feel free to start attending Mass again. Our Lady of the Mountain offers weekend Masses on Saturday evening at 5:00 PM; Sunday at 9:30 AM, 11:30 AM (Spanish); and 5:00 PM. Daily Masses are offered Wednesdays and Fridays at 8:30 AM and Tuesdays and Thursdays at Noon.
- Some find healing through the sacrament of Reconciliation. Confession is available every Saturday from 3:30-4:30 PM and by appointment. (For an appointment, please call the parish office at 541-482-1146.)
Our parish community welcomes you!
