After thirteen years of faithful service to the parish, the keypad lock on the Adoration Chapel is no longer working. We have ordered a new lock and hope to have it replaced sometime this week. Until the lock is replaced, the chapel is closed. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. We will let you know the moment the new lock is installed.
Join us for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the Stations of the Cross on Fridays during Lent. Adoration begins at 6 pm followed by the Stations at 7.
On Saturday, April 1, Confessions will only be heard in the morning from 8:15-8:45 am and again after Mass until 11 am. THERE WILL BE NO AFTERNOON CONFESSIONS ON APRIL 1. Confessions are also available by appointment but don't wait until the last second.
The final episode of the Rescue Project explores how Jesus is calling us to continue his mission. We have moved into the "Response" part of this series. Up to now we have seen what God has done for us. How do we respond? A trailer for the series can be found here: The Rescue Project. Our final gathering is this Wednesday, March 29 beginning at 6:30 pm in the Parish Hall. We will watch the videos and have some time for discussion. Afterwards we will move into the church for a half-hour of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. If you've missed previous chapters, you can watch them here: Vidoes
We are still waiting for the offertory envelopes to be delivered. This is due to several problems at the company that prints them. In the meantime, please take a bundle of blank envelopes to use until your printed envelopes arrive. If you are giving cash please make sure to write your name on the envelope so we can record it. Envelopes can be found in the breezeway.
Please remember that Good Friday is an obligatory day of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence.
For members of the Latin Catholic Church, the norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18 until age 59. When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal. The norms concerning abstinence from meat are binding upon members of the Latin Catholic Church from age 14 onwards.
Members of the Eastern Catholic Churches are to observe the particular law of their own sui iuris Church.
If possible, the fast on Good Friday is continued until the Easter Vigil (on Holy Saturday night) as the “paschal fast” to honor the suffering and death of the Lord Jesus and to prepare ourselves to share more fully and to celebrate more readily his Resurrection
