I have a number of reminders for you this week. Saturday, May 22 was the last day for the extended Confession times; on May 30th we go back to the regular schedule 3:30-4:30 PM. Beginning on Sunday, May 31 the Spanish Mass will move from 11:30 AM to noon; this change is being made so that we can have RCIA in between the morning Masses when it begins again in the fall.
As you all know by now, the CDC and Oregon’s Governor have changed the mandates regarding face coverings and social distancing; Governor Brown revised the guidelines yet again on May 18. For now, fully vaccinated individuals no longer need to wear masks or practice social distancing. We will not be verifying vaccination status.
At this time, we are asking everyone to be mindful of spacing within the church and to give those wearing masks more space. The parish hall will continue to be open for anyone who would like to sit in there. We will monitor the situation and may need to make seating adjustments in the future.
Have a blessed Pentecost; May the Holy Spirit fill each of us with an abundance of graces.
Verso l’alto (To the heights),
Father Brent Crowe
