Fr. Maro’s Weekly Message

Fr. MaroDear Parishioners,

Today is the Feast of the Lord’s Epiphany and in some traditions, this is the day when people give their Christmas gifts to each other and they do that probably because it is during the Lord’s Epiphany when the Magi gave gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh to Jesus Christ, “the newborn king of the Jews.”

Not all of us practice this tradition but like the Magi who gave treasures to Jesus Christ, we too can give a precious gift to our King – that is the gift of ourselves. Epiphany means “manifestation,” in giving ourselves as gifts to Jesus Christ, let us be the manifestation of his presence in our world. Happy Feast of the Lord’s Epiphany to everyone!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our God for the wonderful gift of all of you to me. Through your love and kindness – and generosity – I felt God’s love for me not only during my birthday but also and most especially during this Christmas season.

Thank you very much! I will always hold you all in my prayers. May God continue to bless us all.

In Christ,
Fr. Maro
