I would like to thank all of you for your prayers for me and my family these past few days. We had a wonderful celebration of my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary and I had a great time visiting with family and friends – I did not realize how much I miss them until I saw them again – some of them I haven’t seen for more than 10 years! I am glad that I was able to go and be with my family to celebrate such a joyous occasion.
After the church celebration and reception, as a family we went out of town to an island south of where we’re from. While waiting to board the plane I found myself looking at my family (in-laws, nephews and nieces included) and I am so grateful that Faith plays a central role in our lives. I think it is one of the things that I am most grateful to my parents for – they raised us with faith in God and it is my hope that it will continue to lead us to be with God in heaven someday.
I am sure that like my parents, those of you who have families have raised your children to have faith as well, thank you very much! I will continue to pray for all of you to be teachers and witnesses of the faith especially to the young. Let us do our best so that our young will receive the grace of God which he freely gives to those who have faith in him. Let us do everything we can so that our younger brothers and sisters will have all the help they can get in developing the faith they have in God. May God continue to bless us all.
