Fr. Maro’s Weekly Message

Fr. MaroDear Parishioners,

As we begin another school year, I would like to ask you to once again prayerfully discern how you can involve yourselves in our parish community’s many activities and ministries. It is always good to remember that the different activities and ministries that we have in our parish community are all meant to help us grow in our faith and spirituality. But again, no matter how good our programs are, if we do not show up for them, it will not have an effect in our lives.

Retreats, Adult Faith Formation classes, serving and helping in our liturgical celebrations (as an usher, Eucharistic Minister, as a lector, as an Altar Server, as a choir member), helping as a catechist in our religious education program, helping our youth minister in our youth program, helping in welcoming new Catholics through our RCIA program and so many other things! These are just some of the things that you can do to be involved in our parish community, please take some time to discern which ministry or parish activity you would like to join so that your spirituality as a follower of Jesus Christ may continue to grow.

I would like to thank those who are already involved and those who are newly involved in our parish’s ministries. Not only are you helping in the growth of our parish community, you are also actively working on your spiritual life. It will not always be smooth going and easy. When challenges in the ministries come, let us be reminded that our Master’s ministry was not easy either, but it led to the salvation of all. Through the intercession of our patroness and Mother, let us pray that we may have the strength to persevere in the ministry that we have in this wonderful community that God has blessed us with. May God continue to bless us all.

In Christ,
Fr. Maro
