Fr. Maro’s Weekly Message

Fr. MaroDear Parishioners,

Happy Feast Day of the Lord’s Epiphany!

The Feast of the Lord’s Epiphany is always wonderful to celebrate for we are reminded of our Faith’s universality – the Lord came to be King of all the world. In this feast, we commemorate the manifestation of the Lord to all the world as represented by the Magi coming from different parts of the world.

I believe that in celebrating this feast day, we have to remind ourselves that although Jesus Christ has already revealed himself to the world, we still have to exert effort to actually encounter him and feel his grace working in our lives. Let us always remember that our Lord reveals himself to those who search for him – in other words, our participation is needed if indeed we want to see and encounter Jesus Christ our King. The Magi traveled far and wide in search of Jesus. Let us ask ourselves this question: “How far are we willing to go or how much are we willing to give up so that we may find Christ?”

As we continue on the celebration of the Christmas Season, let us reflect on the changes that we would like to make this year being mindful of the question – “How far am I willing to go or how much am I willing to give up so that I may find Christ?” Truly, the Lord reveals himself to those who search for him. May we never get tired of searching for the Lord and may we always encounter him in all the people we relate with every day of our lives.

Once again, Merry Christmas!

In Christ,
Fr. Maro
