Today, throughout the Archdiocese of Portland in Western Oregon, every parish is asking for their parishioners’ help to assist the parish-based ministries supported by the Archbishop’s Catholic Appeal. Once again, I am knocking at the doors of your generous hearts to request for financial help for our parish’s contribution to this year’s Appeal. Our goal this year is $29,115.46. We have consistently reached our goal in the past and I hope that this year will not be any different.
On behalf of Archbishop Sample, I thank all of you who gave last year. I assure you that the funds you gave helped provide ministry to those who would not have been touched without your support. When you give to the Appeal, you are providing vital financial support for ministries that parishes would not otherwise be able to afford. Each of us is called to share our gifts; thank you very much for your generous response to this call. You have always been generous to our local parish community here at Our Lady of the Mountain and I am really grateful for the support that you give to the whole Archdiocese as well. Please continue to help in the ministries of the Church through your financial donations, prayers, and/or volunteer work.
May God continue to bless all of us as we continue to do our best to be good stewards of this beautiful Church that he has blessed us with.
