Words cannot really express how grateful I am for having been given the privilege of becoming a part of Our Lady of the Mountain Parish Community. God is really good and wise. In His infinite wisdom, he taught me so many things here at Our Lady of the Mountain. As you all know, I just turned 11 years old as a priest and more than half of those 11 years (6 years to be exact) were spent here with you. I am grateful.
Thank you. In thanking you, I give thanks to God who is the source of all goodness. May He bless you with all the grace you need as he blessed me with your goodness and kindness. I learned with you, I grew up spiritually with you, I served with you, and I loved with you. I am grateful.
What a blessing you all are to me – from the parish staff to the youngest of parishioners. I truly experienced God’s love and kindness to me through the love and kindness you have shown me. May you continue to be a blessing to us priests. I am grateful.
It has been a short six years for me. It is true what people say, “Time goes fast when you are enjoying what you are doing.” I hope and pray that I may continue to enjoy what I am doing as a priest and I thank you for making my life here so enjoyable. I am grateful.
There really comes a time when priests cease to be just priests to their parishioners, they also become friends. I am grateful for the friendships and love you have shared with me, may it never stop. Please know that you are welcome to visit Sacred Heart Parish in Tillamook or St. Joseph in Cloverdale or St. Mary by the Sea in Rockaway Beach. Come and let’s celebrate the Eucharist on a Sunday, or have ice cream and cheese, or just to visit me – a friend. You are all welcome.
I am not saying goodbye, instead I’ll say: I HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN SOON!
Prayers, love, and blessings.
