Father Crowe was born in Chico, California, in 1967. He earned a bachelor’s in general science from Oregon State University and worked as a biologist for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Crowe was drawn to Catholicism by an article in which Pope Benedict XVI refuted the notion that science and faith were in opposition. He entered Mount Angel Seminary in 2011 and spent his pastoral year at St. Mary Cathedral in Portland.
He was ordained a deacon in 2017 and then spent a summer serving at St. Cecilia Parish in Beaverton before serving as deacon at St. Rose of Lima Parish in Northeast Portland. He was ordained by Archbishop Alexander Sample June 2, 2018, as was assigned as parochial vicar of St. Cecilia Parish in Beaverton.
